Emma Stone In Chanel Couture - Best Dressed Of The Week

Emma Stone was eventually crowned best dressed of the week after beating out the Twilight girls who each had a strong looks on the red carpet.
The ‘Spiderman’ actress stunned wearing Chanel Couture whilst attending the MoMA Film Benefit this week with a retro bouffant updo and Chanel accessories.
She was both charming and graceful.
If Emma looks this great now, just imagine how dynamite she’s going to be during Awards Season.

Kim Kardashian and Beauty Trend Spotting: Lower Lashes Are Gaining Momentum

For the record—we blame Kim Kardashian.
We remember the good ole’ days when mascara used to be reserved for the upper lash line; now it looks as if celebs are bucking beauty tradition and coating their lower lashes as well.
Why, pray tell, one might ask?
“This season is about separated cloggy lashes,” says Pat McGrath, the lash-obsessed makeup artist behind the spiky looks at Valentino, Lanvin, and Gucci FW/11.
The key to nailing the spidery lash look? “Tons and tons and tons of mascara,” adds McGrath.
Lucia Pieroni, the makeup artist responsible for the lash-tastic look at Alberta Ferretti FW/11 recommends ‘heavily applying mascara on the upper and lower lashes, using the wand to round out the eye for a Bambi effect.’
Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury followed suit at the Chloe FW/11 show, where she confirmed Pieroni’s technique with this bit of advice: “Use your brush to pull out even the corner lashes—top and bottom—to ensure you coat every single hair.”
If mascara isn’t dramatic enough for you, take it one step further: Intensify your lower lashes with a set of falsies created especially for the lower lash line. Ardell’s Lower False Eyelashes ($4.89 at Amazon.com) are industry standard.
Question: Have you been applying mascara to your bottom lashes as well? Or will you start? —India-Jewel Jackson

Noomi Rapace In Giambattista Valli – ‘Babycall’ Rome Film Festival Premiere

Noomi Rapace made a return to the red carpet for the Rome Film Festival premiere for ‘Babycall’.
The Swedish actress wore a Giambattista Valli Pre-Fall 2011 dress.
Her red one-shoulder silk jersey dress has a grosgrain insert at the waist and a bow shoulder detail.
Noomi made this look her own by draping the dress over her shoulder.
With her hair in a tight bun she accessorized with a black and gold Lara Bohinc clutch and a gold cuff.
Despite Noomi wearing one of my favourite designers, I can’t get passed the pumps.
Christian Louboutin
Earlier this year, Noomi made a huge splash on the red carpet, so I’m disappointed by her safe, inappropriate shoe choice on this occasion, even if they are by Christian Louboutin.
These heels are not red carpet worthy and should never been placed anywhere near this dress.
They are so heavy that they weigh down the look.
Viktor & Rolf Resort 2012 black silk mix tuxedo
Earlier the same day Noomi wore a Viktor & Rolf Resort 2012 black silk mix tuxedo with a red blouse for the photocall.
I love her wavy hair.
On this occasion her fringed Louboutin’s work perfectly with this luxe menswear look.

Ashley Greene In Versace – ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′ Stockholm Fan Event

Ashley Greene In Versace
On Friday, Ashley Greene attended the ‘Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn Part 1’ fan event in Stockholm, Sweden with co-star Robert Pattinson.
My heart sank a little when I saw her wearing this gorgeous aqua-blue Versace Spring 2012 dress with a chiffon pleated draped detail and gold studded belt.
I wish our first look at the Versace Spring 2012 collection had been for a grander occasion, with all due respect to Twilight fans.
Her summery dress was styled with a high ponytail and a bold red lip colour.
She completed her look with H.Stern jewels and gold Fendi strappy sandals.
Once over my initial shock, it’s great to see Ashley opting for a more playful and less ridged look.
She’s young and pretty so she should be experimenting more with fashion.

Penelope Cruz In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Venuto al Mondo’ Rome Film Festival Photocall

Penelope Cruz In Dolce & Gabbana
Penelope Cruz attended the ‘Venuto al Mondo’ photocall which kick started the 6th International Rome Film Festival today.
The Spanish beauty is playing men at their own game by wearing a very smart Dolce & Gabbana black suit with a white shirt.
Her single-breasted Martini fit jacket has two buttons, a satin notched lapel and three front pockets.
She didn’t attempt to make this androgynous chic look girlie in anyway. Even her shoes are very plain.
I love this look as the totally owns it.
My problem is her hair. I wish she would return back to her natural hair colour.

Amber Heard In Elie Saab - Best Dressed Of The Week

Amber Heard in Elie Saab

Red was the colour of the week, but it was Amber Heard who stood head and shoulders above everyone else to be crowned Best Dressed this week.
At the LA premiere for ‘The Rum Diary’, Amber was firing on all cylinders from her sexy Elie Saab gown, to her neat bun, to her flawless make-up.
I am so happy that the gorgeous actress continues to fill the blonde bombshell role vacated by Scarlett Johansson.
This look was a rare 10 out of 10.

Tinsley Mortimer In Versace – 2011 Whitney Museum Of American Art Studio Party

Tinsley Mortimer attended the 2011 Whitney Museum Of American Art Studio Party in New York City this week.
The socialite wore a gorgeous Versace Fall 2011 gown.
Her deep-blue one-shoulder gown with a full-feathered train is part sexy, part fun, part divalicious.
Strappy platform heels, a silver clutch and a black clutch completed her look.
A much smaller clutch would’ve been preferred.

Fan Bingbing In Bottega Veneta – ‘Yang Gui Fei’ Busan International Film Festival Press Conference

Fan Bingbing joined her co-stars for the ‘Yang Gui Fei’ press conference during the 16th Busan International Film Festival at the Grand Hotel in South Korea earlier today.
The Asian beauty is not only a fan of Elie Saab, but Bottega Veneta as well.
She lit up the room wearing a neon pink Bottega Veneta Resort 2012 dress with a corseted belt.
Normally the actress makes some kind of modification, but on this occasion she kept her look as it was presented on the runway.
Cartier jewels and a gorgeous smile completed her look.
Which has been your favourite look from Fan Bingbing so far during this film festival?

Elettra Wiedemann Rosselini In YSL – Vanity Fair’s ‘Man of the Year 2011′ Awards

Elettra Wiedemann Rosselini was in Madrid, Spain last night to attend the Vanity Fair ‘Man of the Year 2011′ Awards.
She wore a YSL Spring 2011 strapless dress.
This is quite possibly the worst dress to hit the red carpet this year.
I’ll take Bryce Dallas Howard’s ‘I’m not pregnant’ Reem Acra dress over this flamenco-inspired look any day.
It’s too long, it’s too literal considering where she is, it’s too cheesy, the shoes work on the runway, but not on Elettra – and the belt looks like it’s suffocating her.
This should’ve been left as a runway piece.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – ‘The Help’ Hamburg Premiere

Emma Stone’s next stop on her promotional tour for ‘The Help’ took her to Germany tonight for the Hamburg premiere.
The beautiful star wore a Lanvin strapless gown.
Her petrol blue draped gown – which matches her eyes – was paired with a silk mustard Lanvin Fall 2011 clutch.
Emma looks gorgeous, but I’m not getting the same wow factor I’ve felt with her previous looks, even with the pop of colour from her clutch.
Her hair, make-up and sparking jewels are perfection.

Miranda Kerr and Crystal Renn In Zac Posen - Best Dress Ever

A simple white tee and leather shorts beat out many red carpet looks including a Couture dress this week.
You were blown away by Miranda Kerr’s simple, stylist-free, effortless, street-style look this week.
My favourite was Crystal Renn in Zac Posen.
The model looked amazing wearing a gold sequinned gown with a chic updo and beautiful red lips.
Our choices couldn’t be more different.
Effortless street-style versus high-octane glamour.

Isabel Marant Spring 2012

‘Sportswear meets rock and roll with plenty of Parisian flair’ is the perfect way to sum up Isabel Marant’s Spring 2012 collection.
On a colour palette of red, dark pink, lemon, sky blue, orange, purple and black, leggy supermodels took to the runway wearing American-football-inspired tops with slouchy sweat pants, denim jeans or shorts with a patchwork or tie-dye treatment.
Whilst feeling for the models in the hot venue, I did love the chunky knits. They were presented as oversized grandpa cardigans, racerback dresses, long-sleeve dresses with hoodies, and classic cable knit sweaters. These pieces are perfect for keeping you warm on those mid-summer nights when the temperatures drop.
We also saw tie-dye jumpsuits, oversized shirts, tie-dye mini dresses, lurex mini dresses, rompers, cropped textured pants, oversized jackets and slouchy tie-dye pants. The crochet dresses and tops would make for perfect beach cover-ups.
There was a selection of Rajasthani embroideries pieces which included vests and mini dresses; they added something exotic to this free-spirited collection.
Models walked the runway in sexy ankle chain strappy sandals, which will be snapped up by many celebrities next season.
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Every French Vogue editor, models off-duty, Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth, Elle MacPherson, Rachel Bilson, Victoria Beckham, Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, Sienna Miller, Thandie Newton, Alexa Chung and Megan Fox
