Isabel Marant Spring 2012

‘Sportswear meets rock and roll with plenty of Parisian flair’ is the perfect way to sum up Isabel Marant’s Spring 2012 collection.
On a colour palette of red, dark pink, lemon, sky blue, orange, purple and black, leggy supermodels took to the runway wearing American-football-inspired tops with slouchy sweat pants, denim jeans or shorts with a patchwork or tie-dye treatment.
Whilst feeling for the models in the hot venue, I did love the chunky knits. They were presented as oversized grandpa cardigans, racerback dresses, long-sleeve dresses with hoodies, and classic cable knit sweaters. These pieces are perfect for keeping you warm on those mid-summer nights when the temperatures drop.
We also saw tie-dye jumpsuits, oversized shirts, tie-dye mini dresses, lurex mini dresses, rompers, cropped textured pants, oversized jackets and slouchy tie-dye pants. The crochet dresses and tops would make for perfect beach cover-ups.
There was a selection of Rajasthani embroideries pieces which included vests and mini dresses; they added something exotic to this free-spirited collection.
Models walked the runway in sexy ankle chain strappy sandals, which will be snapped up by many celebrities next season.
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Every French Vogue editor, models off-duty, Kate Moss, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Miranda Kerr, Kate Bosworth, Elle MacPherson, Rachel Bilson, Victoria Beckham, Zoe Saldana, Diane Kruger, Sienna Miller, Thandie Newton, Alexa Chung and Megan Fox

Airport Style: Victoria Beckham’s Brian Atwood ‘RZ’ Boots

Victoria Beckham was spotted at London’s Heathrow earlier today as she’s in town to work with Range Rover and to no doubt start work on her new collection.
The pregnant star strategically placed her clutch over her baby bump, not that she appears to be showing that much anyway.
Despite the sunny weather VB opted for all black pairing a black blazer with black leggings and black tank top.
The most eye-popping thing about her look were her Brian Atwood ‘RZ’ boots.
The thigh-high boots named after Rachel Zoe have a silver chain detail running along the back.
Victoria has been spotted in these boots once before.
Rachel Zoe and Kim Kardashian also own a pair.

L.A.M.B. Fall 2011

Gwen Stefani presented her L.A.M.B. Fall 2011 collection which closed Fashion Week yesterday
Like Victoria Beckham, the L.A.M.B. collection was a showcase of Gwen’s personal style.
She presented 48 looks in a very unique fashion.
The show was split into 6 sections which their own soundtracks.
The ‘Solider Girl’ showcased khaki trench coasts, menswear inspired shirts and ties, camouflage floral print blouse and a houndstooth ruffle skirt.
The ‘Ragga Muffin Girls’ gave us navajo print chiffon dresses, halter bow blouses and menswear v neck sweaters.
The ‘London Girls’ wore 70s inspired leather motorcycle jackets, menswear blazers and plaid punker pants.
The ‘Buffalo Girls’ were just as edgy teaming patchwork sweaters with ties and oversized coats.
‘Mod Girls’ presented leopard print dresses, tunics and jersey pants.
The final group were the ‘Glamour Girls’. They all wore black looks ranging from wide leg palazzo pants to bustier dresses and jumpsuits.
Gwen took her bow at the end of the show wearing my favourite look from the collection; a printed one-shoulder wide-leg jumpsuit.
She started to take her bow on her own until her cute son Kingston ran onto the runway to join his mother much to her surprise.
You can see the video here.
