Celebrities Love…Michael Kors

As I said earlier in the week, celebrities just can’t get enough of Michael Kors at the moment.
His favourite gal pals are Heidi Klum, Mary J Blige, Angelina Jolie, Catherine Zeta Jones and Jennifer Hudson, but many other celebs are now fully appreciating Michael Kors on a regular basis on the red carpet.
Natalie Portman turned a few of his dresses into maternity looks during Awards Season, Leighton Meester showed off her sultry side in Michael Kors for “The Roommate” LA Premiere, Catherine Zeta Jones shunned British designers to collect her CBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace in Michael Kors, plus Michelle Obama has Michael Kors on rotation for several official engagements.
Since then the floodgates have opened.
We’ve seen Michael Kors on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, the Met Gala, the CFDA Fashion Awards, the MTV Movie Awards, the Tony Awards, the Annual amfAR Inspiration Gala plus several premieres and Letterman show appearances in-between.
Why the extra celebrity love?
It’s hard to pinpoint as Michael Kors still creates all America classic pieces which appeal to all types of women.
His collections have timeless looks with plenty of sex appeal or if you prefer a sporty edge.
You can wear Michael Kors in the boardroom, during a weekend at the Hamptons, dinner uptown and most definitely on the red carpet as showcased by these gorgeous gals.

Lucy Liu Channels Her Inner Panda Whilst Loving Roger Vivier

When Angelina Jolie returned to the US from Cannes, Lucy Liu took over the reigns for promoting “Kung Fu Panda 2.”
What I’ve noticed is that her red carpet looks have mostly been black and white, which is the perfect subliminal message whilst promoting a movie about a Panda.
The other consistent thing about Lucy’s look is her love for Roger Vivier clutches.
A red and white, plus a black and white Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit clutch accessorized her first two looks, whilst a hot pink Vivier clutch added a delicious pop of colour to the last.
She goes from flirty in Marchesa to sophisticated in Givenchy to playful in Antonio Berardi during the week whilst fulfilling her promotional duties.
They are all equally fabulous that I can’t decide which one I love the most.

Elena Anaya In Elie Saab Couture – 2011 Cannes Film Festival “The Skin I Live In” Premiere

Elena Anaya becomes one of the many celebrities to wear Elie Saab Couture during the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
For the “The Skin I Live In” Premiere the Spanish actress wore a look from the designers Spring 2011 Couture collection.
The black embroidered gown with deep sweetheart neckline and central split was teamed with a dazzling neckline I feel the dress didn’t need.
I had always pictured this dress on Angelina Jolie. It would’ve been the one time I wouldn’t have complained about her wearing a black dress.
A ‘Heidi’ braid and black peep-toes completed Elena’s look

Elie Saab Fall 2011

Elie Saab’s Fall 2011 collection was Parisian chic personified.
For those who say that Elie Saab only creates red carpet gowns, his Fall 2011 collection will prove them wrong.
The designer showcased many daytime pieces which included leather jackets, sheath dresses, pants paired with tunics, streamline coats and knits for the first time.
We saw plenty of slim silhouettes and cinched in waist via peplums and belts which accented dresses, skirt suits, jackets and gowns.
Demi Moore will love the many black pieces which were presented, plus we also saw nude, red, burgundy and stone with touches of florals.
Elie Saab’s celebrity clientèle will be happy to see the array of stunning gowns on display.
Of course I was in love with the embellished gowns, but any of his gowns would light up a red carpet.
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long, but I’m banking on us seeing many looks during Cannes Film Festival.
Celebs have plenty of gowns choose from; halters, strapless, cap sleeves, bold shoulders, plunging necklines, peplum waists, central split, side split and long sleeved gowns.
Key accessories included Mary Jane-inspired strappy heels and clutches.
Front Row: Fan Bing Bing and Daisy Lowe
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Cameron Diaz, Demi Moore, Leighton Meester, Blake Lively, Megan Fox, Florence Welch, Fan Bing Bing, Hilary Swank, Olivia Wilde, Melanie Laurent, Aishwarya Rai, Noomi Rapace, Freida Pinto, Angelina Jolie, Bryce Dallas Howard and Daisy Lowe

Emilio Pucci Fall 2011

I really enjoyed the change of direction from this Emilio Pucci Fall 2011 collection.
The sexy flowing dresses and kaftans were replaced by uber sexy fitted dresses.
Peter Dundas went from concentrating on legs via thigh-high splits and minis to focusing on the bust as breasts heaved over tight corseted tops.
Either way Blake Lively will be happy.
The presentation gave us rock n’ roll elegance with the sexy twist.
We saw bold prints and baroque embellishments on form-fitting bodices and dresses.
Chic daywear included velvet riding coats with leg of mutton sleeves, tailored riding pants, puff-sleeve jackets, jacquard jackets, A-line skirts and feminine lace blouses.
I loved the inclusion of several classic signature Pucci prints.
The finale included some of the sexiest looks I have seen all fashion week.
Green goddess dresses with embellished asymmetrical sleeves and the final look had a sexy bejeweled bodice which I would love to see on Angelina Jolie.
Key accessories included Tyrol hats, heeled hiking boots, leather clutches, suede shoulder bags and signature sexy sandals.
I loved the messy plaits which I’ve dubbed the ‘Pucci Plait.’ I wonder which starlet will work this style into their red carpet look.
Front Row: Anna Wintour, Poppy Delevigne, Eugénie Niarchos, Anna Dello Russo, John Taylor
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Blake Lively, Megan Fox, Fergie, Kylie Mingoue, Rihanna, Beau Garrett, Angelina Jolie, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Zoe Saldana

Versace Fall 2011

The Versace Fall 2011 woman is strong and sexy – as always.
The military inspired collection included tailored coats, fitted dresses with swirls and snakes set into dresses, coats with furry sleeves, feathered dresses, leather jackets paired with flared leather skirts and the finale gowns had trains decorated with feathers.
The key accessories included open-toe lace up boots and leather totes.
Front Row: Poppy Delevigne and M.I.A.
Favourites: Haltered beaded gown with feathered train which I see as an Oscar worthy gown and yellow feathered mini dress
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Blake Lively, January Jones, Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale, Ciara, Elizabeth Hurley, Michelle Yeoh, Charlize Theron, Cheryl Cole and Tinsley Mortimer
